We are delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Jensen MBA and Ph.D. as new Chief Commercial Officer for Unibio.

Michael Jensen has worked as a business executive in the food, feed and food ingredients industry and within industrial biotechnology.
With +20 years of international experience in top executive management, sales & marketing, strategic business development, product management and R&D, Michael is looking forward to working with Unibio’s innovative products.
He is a member of Unibio’s group management team, and his main responsibilities will cover all commercial activities in Unibio.

Michael Jensen has held various executive and leading positions at companies such as Tetra Pak, Hamlet Protein, Royal Greenland, KMC and Inter Aqua Advance. With an M.S in physics & chemistry, a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Aarhus University and the University of Copenhagen and an Executive MBA in change management & leadership from the University of Southern Denmark/Aarhus School of Business/University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, Michael appears to be perfectly suited to meet Unibio’s CCO challenges.

“I am very excited about this opportunity and quite proud to join the Unibio team as Chief Commercial Officer.
Unibio has a unique technology based on the simple idea of turning methane gas into protein products through a sophisticated biotechnological process.
The fact that we are facing a global population of almost 10 billion people by 2050 and the fact that there will be a shortage of up to 70% of the protein needed for this development mean that there will be a huge protein gap to fill and thus a huge business potential for Unibio’s protein products.
Hence, the business idea of Unibio both has meaning and purpose – and this is exactly why I am really looking forward to get going, meet the challenges and contribute with my experience and competences to a successful development of the company,” says Michael Jensen.
